Arizona chapters of Eta Sigma Alpha and the
National Society of High School Scholars

currently accepting applications for officers
who will be voted on at the first meeting,
Saturday, September 11, 10-noon. Monthly
meetings, service projects and special
enrichment activities are planned. Meeting
dates are: 9/11, 10/2, 11/6, 12/4, 1/8, 2/5,

THE ARIZONA STATE FAIR
Homeschoolers can attend the Arizona State
Fair on October 15th and 22nd only free of
charge as a field trip. Go to

From there click on download your field trip
request form. This form has all the info you
need as to how to attend the fair for free as
well as contact info. Send in the form now,
the deadline for sending in the form is
September 30th.

Magic Mountain Home School Day
Eastside Explorers
coordinates the annual Phoenix area contingent
trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain, California for
a private party when the park is open to
homeschoolers only. Teens and college students
who were homescholed in high school are
invited. This occurs the first weekend in
November, and a chartered bus with chaperones
does a 36 hour turnaround trip

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER SALUTE
TO HOMESCHOOLERS DAY Homeschoolers from around
the country are invited to participate in Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex's
second annual Salute to Homeschoolers Day, a full day of special activities and
presentations, allowing students and educators to explore America's Space
Program up close. Participants will build and launch air rockets, meet an
Astronaut at a special Astronaut briefing, enjoy an IMAX film, tour KSC areas
and experience Mad Mission to Mars 2025 along with other exhibits and shows.
Educators are also invited to visit the NASA Educator Resource Center to receive
educational materials to enhance science, space travel, history and math
curriculum.
WHEN: Thursday, March 10 and Saturday, March 12, 2005 (9:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.) WHERE: at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Florida MORE
