| Tips
for Fun Shopping
1. Please
bring your cash in small bills
2. There is a
generic ATM machine inside the Civic Center.
If you happen to bank at Wells Fargo, there
is a branch right next to the Civic Center
3. There will
be a snack bar for your food and beverage needs.
There are no vending machines available at the
Glendale Civic Center. Outside food is only
permitted in the patio area.
4. The shopping
area will open at 10am sharp. The Civic Center
doors open at 8:30am. You will be able to line
up inside the building once you've paid your
admission.
5. To be included
in the door prize drawings, fill out a survey
card.
6. There will
be an information table with flyers available.
Stop by and pick up one of each of the flyers.
There are usually some flyers that are not available
in your goody bag. These are local businesses
and services pertinent to home educators. Yes,
you can just put them into your goody bag. It
is YOUR bag, you may do with it as you will.
7. Because there
is an admission fee, please understand that
you will be asked to show your hand stamp to
the person at the entrance to the immense shopping
room!
8. Make a list
of books you are looking for. Make a duplicate
list for your spouse or additional helper. Some
shoppers have gone a step further and cut out
pictures of the books from catalogs lying around
their home. This makes it easier and also shows
them the NEW price so they will know if the
USED price is a good one. |
